"Disappearing Act" is the first of four parts for season 2's second episode of ChalkZone.
Synopsis[]
When Reggie does a magic show during a rainy day, Rudy decides to play a practical joke on him.
Plot[]
It's a rainy day at Rudy and Penny's school, meaning no recess. Instead, Mr. Wilter tells the class Reggie will entertain them with magic while Wilter is on break. He takes Rudy's sketch that was being used as a model for Penny's science project and rips it apart. Reggie then runs near the science project, ripping the tablecloth off and damaging the utensils. When Mr. Wilter sees the mess Reggie caused, he blames it on Penny and Rudy, who are forced to clean it up. Rudy, having had enough of Reggie's bullying, feels he needs to go down.
Reggie is ready to perform his last trick: the disappearing act. Rudy volunteers to participate, and Reggie tells Rudy to stay inside the trap door until he says the magic word. Sure enough, Rudy is nowhere to be seen as the class applauds the trick. Rudy, using the Magic Chalk, enters into ChalkZone behind the cardboard box. However, as he leaves, the eraser is left behind and dropped inside the box. When Reggie says the magic word, all that he sees is the eraser. An angry Reggie demands Rudy come back this instant as he watches from ChalkZone.
When Snap asks what's going on, Rudy explains he's playing a joke on Reggie. Snap also introduces Rudy to his new friend, Fly. Fly is happy to partake in the joke due to her small size, using a camera on her head drawn by Rudy to record everything. Rudy instructs Fly to say Reggie in the latter's ear, and that Rudy is in the box. Fly and Rudy trick Reggie into thinking Rudy has been turned into an eraser. The class proceeds to laugh at Reggie after he says he didn't mean to turn Rudy into an eraser. Wilter sends Reggie to the principal's office. They see through Fly that Reggie has gotten in trouble many times before with the principal, when Rudy convinces Fly to use the eraser to scare Reggie, running out of the principal's office.
Rudy instructs Fly to use the eraser on Reggie's head, and he returns to the classroom. Wilter tells him his father will be here soon. Snap and the other Zoners find it hilarious, while Rudy is upset that his practical joke has gone too far, as he never wanted Reggie to get in trouble. He explains he didn't want to be mean, Rudy just wanted to teach him a lesson. He admits to being just as cold as Reggie as he declares the joke over and tells the Fly he'll return if Reggie puts his sweater over the eraser. Rudy returns, with Reggie's sweater on.
Just then, both Reggie's father and the principal arrive, with both Penny and Rudy vouching for Reggie by stating he was just performing a magic trick. Bruno Bullnerd tells Reggie the latter will perform magic for his friends, with Reggie stating Rudy will be his assistant.
