George Chialtas (born May 27, 1953) served as director on ChalkZone. He has been active in animation since 1988.
Early life[]
Chialtas has stated he would often go to movie theaters with his sister as children, where the two would tell ushers at the theater what a film was about, with Chialtas illustrating a picture to help get the point across. He claimed this started his interest in art.[1] He eventually moved to Los Angeles, California, and attended UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles)'s animation workshop to hone his skills.[1]
Career[]
His first Nickelodeon production was as both animation[2] and timing director on Rocko's Modern Life.[1] Chialtas directed episodes of Hey Arnold![3] and the pilot episode for CatDog, "Dog Gone."[4]
During the 2000s and 2010s, Chialtas directed multiple episodes of Dora the Explorer,[5] including its specials.[6] In 2019, he served as supervising animation director for the Rocko special Static Cling.[1]
