Jennifer "Jenny" Lynn Nissenson (born May 21, 1969) wrote episodes of ChalkZone. She has worked as both a writer (for television and books) and a professional puppeteer.
Early life[]
Nissenson holds a degree in early childhood development, having designed curriculum for children at museums and schools.[1]
Career[]
She provided masks for the Dance Electric production Forces.[2] Nissenson worked for Nickelodeon during the 2000s as a writer for ChalkZone.[3] Alongside Bill Burnett, she performed a Hanukkah-themed puppet show at the Skirball Cultural Center.[4]
Nissenson has since shifted focus to professional puppetering.[5] In 2008, she provided set design pieces for the Theatre of Note play, Stadium Devildare.[6] Nissenson held a puppet workshop and gave tutorials on drawing in 2012.[7] She performed a musical puppet show, A Great Miracle Happen There, at the West End Synagogue.[5]
With Billy Phillips, Nissenson has published two books, both in the Once Upon a Zombie series: The Color of Fear (2015)[8] and The Lord of the Curtain (2018).[9]
