Patrick Alexander Ventura (born December 19, 1964) served as both a director and storyboard artist on ChalkZone.[1] Active in animation from 1983 through 2008, Ventura has worked as an animator,[2] director and writer.
Career[]
Ventura animated the music video for The Rolling Stones' 1986 song "The Harlem Shuffle."[3] In the late 1980s, he worked in the story unit for Roger Rabbit shorts.[4]
He wrote the 1992 Disney film Aladdin[5] and for The Baby Huey Show.[6] Ventura made six pilots on What a Cartoon!,[7][8] including ones featuring George and Junior[9] (created by Tex Avery) and his own creations, Yuckie Duck and Sledgehammer O'Possum.[10][11]
In 1996, Ventura was co-director for Tales of the Crypt episode "The Third Pig," the only animated episode in that series.[12] For Oh Yeah! Cartoons, Ventura supplied two shorts: Jamal the Funny Frog and The Semprini Triplets.[1] During the early 2000s, Ventura was a director on Super Duper Sumos.[13]
Throughout the 2000s, Ventura worked on ChalkZone, Random! Cartoons and Phineas and Ferb. He has not been credited in an animation production since 2008.
