Paul McEvoy served as storyboard artist during the first season of ChalkZone. He has worked in animation since 1995 under various positions, including character artist.[1]

Career[]

McEvoy was a storyboard artist for Cartoon Network during the late 1990s, writing for The Powerpuff Girls. He also storyboarded some episodes for Cow & Chicken, I Am Weasel and Dexter's Laboratory. [2] By 1998 he storyboarded for Nickelodeon's shows, including CatDog and The Fairly OddParents.

He joined Dreamworks Animation in 2002, where he would remain for a decade, he storyboarded films like Madagascar, Shrek the Third and Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, The Croods, and Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie. He also worked at Sony Pictures Animation as a freelance storyboard artist for Open Season, Surf's Up and Hotel Transylvania 1 and 2. In 2008, McEvoy and co-writer Todd Berger were nominated for an Annie Award for best writing in a television production on the Kung Fu Panda spinoff[3] Secrets of the Furious Five.[4][5]

McEvoy worked at Warner Bros. for a two year period, where he directed the 2014 film Scooby-Doo! Frankencreepy.[6] That same year, McEvoy started working at Sony Pictures Animation.
