Overview[]
The First Season of the American animated television series ChalkZone (series) Created by Bill Burnett and Co-Creator Larry Huber, Premiered on March 22nd, 2002 on Nickelodeon. The season premiered its last episode on May 31st, 2002, consisting of a total of 6 Episodes.
After its preview pilot on December 31st, 1999, ChalkZone was originally slated to premiere on Nickelodeon in Late 2000, either in September or October. Due to unknown reasons, the show's premiere was held off until March 2002. Leaving the show out of production for two years.
This season includes 4 out of the 8 total shorts that were apart of Oh Yeah Cartoons!, 2 of them were inserted as Flashbacks, and 16 new animated segments for the Season were created.

Reception[]
Once the series had finally premiered on the network, it was deemed as Nickelodeon's highest rated Series Premiere that year with 4 Million viewers total. That was until July of the same year when "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" debuted on Nick and stole ChalkZone's crown with a total of 4.3 million viewers.

- According to co-creator Bill Burnett, Season 1 was originally going to have a total of 13 half hours. Nick executives & Bill compromised and gave the crew 6 half hours to do whatever they wanted.
